About

“Peak Landscapes” creates and manages outdoor spaces in northern New England that benefit both the people that utilize them as well as the greater environment in which they are a part of.  Landscapes can have a large array of functions and be valued for many different reasons.  Outdoor spaces can be enjoyed simply for their aesthetic beauty, but they can also provide a connection with nature, food for your dinner table, a place for people to gather, and space for kids and pets to play.  Landscapes can provide food, water and shelter for wildlife, aid our homes in energy conservation, clean the groundwater supply we depend on for life, and filter the air we breathe.  “Peak Landscapes” follows ecological principles, uses organic materials, and draws inspiration from nature to provide landscape services that combine environmental sustainability with human health and happiness.

Peak Landscapes is owned and operated by Andrew Johnson and serves the northern New England region. Andrew has studied the landscape and environmental fields in the classroom and has developed a passion for the natural environment.  Andrew’s green industry roots took hold back in junior high school when he started mowing lawns around the neighborhood.  He soon developed a sense of pride in the work he was doing and began transforming his parents’ property.  Andrew chose to pursue a career in the green industry and received his associate’s degree in landscape horticulture.  In between school sessions, Andrew started gaining experience working in the local greenhouse and eventually joining the town forestry crew.  He has since returned to school at the University of Southern Maine and received his bachelor’s degree in environmental planning.  Further work experience has also included residential tree, organic lawn care, landscape design and installation, and garden maintenance.  Andrew is excited for the opportunity to work with any landscape situation and to continue meeting new people and learn new ideas.
